Dr Phillip Huang has over 35 years of clinical experience, especially in all forms of orthodontic treatment such as clear aligners and in that time he has developed the highest level of orthodontic, surgical and cosmetic dental care for patients of all ages. Known for tackling complex orthodontic challenges, Dr Phillip Huang is one of Australia's key opinion leaders (KOL) for Angel Aligner and his passion lies in helping both his patients and other dentists achieve predictable, efficient and successful treatment outcomes.
Orthodontics and Clear Aligners
Dr Phillip Huang is also one of only a handful of Australian dentists to have successfully completed 4+ years of advanced orthodontic training provided by American Progressive Orthodontic Seminars (POS).
Because of his advanced training he is able to offer both adults, teens and children clear aligner therapy with Angel Aligner using the latest technology - an intraoral 3D dental scanner that can capture within seconds an accurate and complete 3D image of the teeth and gums without needing to take an impression.
Dr Rex Huang obtained his primary dental qualification from La Trobe University and postgraduate training in oral surgery from the University of Sydney. He has 10 years of experience working in both private and public dental practice, most recently for NSW Health as an Oral Surgery Registrar where he provided specialist oral surgery services at Nepean, Westmead, Campbelltown and Sydney Dental Hospitals under both local and general anaesthesia. Dr Huang is passionate about providing evidence based and patient-centred care in oral surgery and in 2020 he successfully passed the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS) Primary Dental Sciences Examination and obtained membership of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (MRACDS).
Dr Huang is also an experienced lecturer and clinical educator at the University of Sydney Dental School where he teaches local anaesthesia and oral surgery for the Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) program. In recognition of his extensive academic and clinical expertise, he is also appointed to the examiner and item writing panel of the Australian Dental Council (ADC). Dr Ying Lee obtained her primary dental qualification from the University of Adelaide in 2015 and is also an AHPRA endorsed conscious sedation practitioner and is able to provide safe dental sedation for all procedures, especially wisdom teeth surgery and anxious patients. Dr Ying has 10 years of experience as a general dentist working in both the private and public dental sector including Westmead Centre for Oral Health and Sydney Dental Hospital where she worked in multiple specialist departments including the Special Care Department and IV Sedation Department.
Dr Ying is currently appointed as a lecturer at the University of Sydney where she educates the next generation of dentists. Dr Ying’s postgraduate studies include a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Conscious Sedation) in 2023 and the Primary Dental Science examination in 2017 which allowed her to gain membership to the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS).
